It's that time of the year again. You
always wish you can spend Christmas with those you love,
but again Christmas will be quiet for me, but the spirit
of an African Christmas will prevail. Hopefully (and
maybe, it's a christmas wish) in the not too distant
future, I'll be spending these precious times with my
own wife and family.
|
I hope you have a lovely Christmas. I remember when we
were children in Africa, Bulawayo Zimbabwe to be more
precise, Sales House had a famous
Christmas advert and part of the words would say
"When it's Christmas in Africa, you got to look
good." Take some time my brothers and sisters and
look good this christmas. The lights at the Bulawayo Centenary
Park, visiting Santa at the Bulawayo Meikles to get a lucky dip and
taking part in the Combines Schools Carols at City Hall
and finally I'll never forget "Bata wishes you a
merry Christmas"! Nothing beats an African
Christmas and nothing beats an African. "Don't try
to restrict them, bano tsika ne Sandak!" I miss
Africa
I hope that will be the theme this Christmas, no matter what
happens, nothing beats an African Christmas!
